If gas is placed in my eye after vitrectomy surgery, are there any special precautions?

Micro-Incision Vitrectomy - VERTE Oftalmología Barcelona

If intraocular gas is used, the patient may need to remain in a special position following the operation, generally lying down (face up). The gas will disappear in a few days, allowing the patient to regain vision. While there is still gas inside the eye, the patient should not fly or climb above 800 m as there is a risk of developing glaucoma due to gas expansion.
